A new adult (16+) choir has been formed in the Parish of Henfield, Shermanbury and Woodmancote, please join us!
We rehearse at St Peter's Henfield and will mostly sing for services there, although as the Parish Choir, we may sing at the two other churches for special services such as Christmas. Choral Evensong happens on 5th Sundays and moves round the Parish through the year. At present, we are only singing on occasional Sundays but the plan is to build up to two services a month at Henfield for the 9.45am service.
You do not have to be a church-goer, just willing to take part in the services helping to lead the singing. If you can read music this is useful, but we do go over everyone's music until they feel happy that they know it.
Plans also include seasonal performances of Stainer's Crucifixion, Faure's or Mozart's Requiems, and Messiah. Please call or email Sidonie Winter for more information.
