For 26 consecutive years, Henfield garden owners have opened their gardens on the second weekend in June for visitors to enjoy. Some of the gardens, and some community venues such as St. Peter's Church, the Henfield Hall , the Henfield Haven and St. Peter's School, have hosted artists and craftspeople to display their work, and musicians to perform.
The Festival began its life as a village event in 2000 as part of the Millenium celebrations. The event has changed in size and in character over the years, but its main purpose is still to celebrate and promote the community and culture of the West Sussex village of Henfield.
