Wildlife photographs for MNDA

4th October 2022

Adrian Hillman, who many of you will know as one of the owners of Rushfields Garden Centre and Farm Shop, is a keen amateur photographer as well as a wildlife enthusiast. On his day off he can often be found walking locally, with his trusty Nikon camera over his shoulder.

He’s captured some beautiful images, many earned with lots of patience and by returning to the same spot and learning the patterns of the creature he’s capturing. He’s also thoroughly enjoyed working with professional photographer David Plummer during a wildlife safari at the Knepp Estate, where he took the beautiful photograph of the kingfisher which is on our cover this month.

Adrian’s hobby is now available for us all to enjoy, and for a very good cause. He makes high-quality prints of his photographs and frames them, they’re then sold for £50 each, every penny goes to the West Sussex branch of MDNA (Motor Neurone Disease Association) in memory of his late mother-in-law, who fought the disease. So far, he has raised a wonderful £1,500 for them.

The photographs change seasonally and are displayed at the exit of Rushfields Garden Centre, be sure to look at the beautiful gallery next time you are there. He also sells a small range of greetings cards. Now autumn is here, look out for Adrian walking in our countryside as he searches for some new images.
