David Phillipson retires

1st March 2024

After 35 years as Caretaker / Steward of the Henfield Hall, David Phillipson has decided to take a well-deserved retirement. Over the years David with his wife Linda saw many changes and developments with the Henfield Hall, enabling it to become a key focus point of the village life. Sadly, Linda died in 2019, but David continued his work at the Hall through those difficult times with the support of his family.

Throughout the years, the Trustees of the Henfield Hall have always been conscious of the work David has taken on in making the Hall the success it has been often rising early to open up the Hall for special events then closing and locking up after a long day. His contribution and dedication to the Hall will be sincerely missed and we all wish him well in his well earned retirement. I know many people will miss David’s presence at the Hall and will wish him well in his retirement.

There will be a new job opportunity at The Henfield Hall and the trustees will be advertising soon for a position. If you are interested in working at the Henfield Hall or you know of somebody please do register your interest and we will send you a job description as soon as they are available.
