To unravel the hidden iconography of paintings from the Italian Renaissance and appreciate how audiences of the day saw art, rather than how we view it today, we need to understand the meaning of religious and mythological signs. This lecture reveals the hidden stories in Renaissance paintings and equips viewers with an antique language and a new way of looking at paintings through signs, symbols iconography. The talk will be led by Leslie Primo.
