Four-midable Henfield FC U13’s

19th July 2013

The four-some Henfield U13’s achieved an amazing feat this summer.  Having entered four tough tournaments, including the inaugural Henfield tournament, they won them all! They  triumphed in the Wick Dynamos tournament in early May, the Henfield tournament also in May, the Worthing Dynamos tournament in early June and completed a memorable quartet by winning the Worthing Minors tournament for the third year in succession.

Manager, Donna Angood was full of praise for the team: “Despite being the team all others were talking about as the ones to beat, the players continued to dominate their opponents and thoroughly deserve their rewards”. Head Coach, Darren Angood added: “This team continue to produce outstanding performances and they have now won their last five tournaments having not lost in 44 tournament matches and even more remarkably have gone 35 games since last conceding a goal!!! A superb achievement given the high standard of tournaments entered. Arsene Wenger believed he had the ‘invincibles’ but he hadn’t witnessed the footballing presence and power of Henfield FC U13’s!” Assistant Coach, Phil Hide simply dubbed the team “The Machine”.
