Saturday 9 November saw an unusual visitor to Henfield High Street - Shire horse Sailor (known to his friends as Lardy due to his appreciation of carrots) came from Poynings with his owner Roger Paine and friend Heather England to collect for the Poppy Appeal. Sailor, in his own set of replica WWI tack, and Roger in full uniform, drew crowds of admirers despite the rain, who purchased their poppies in time for Remembrance. Thanks for your visit Sailor and Roger, we hope to see you next year.
