Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the village on Friday evening at the annual Spirit of Christmas event. The weather had threatened to be stormy but the winds held off and the high street was buzzing with stalls, visitors and carol singers.
Children enjoyed Shayler's Fun Fair and stalls, while the BP Guild sleigh was in attendance and carol singers entertained outside Stevens Estate Agents. Shops stayed open late with offers and goodies for their customers, and Christmas jumpers were in full attendance! Santa left his BP Guild sleigh to put in an appearance in his grotto, raising money for the Youth Club, plenty of excited children were very pleased to see him.
Enormous thanks from BN5 magazine go to our HART responders, who helped us sell our calendars from our festive gazebo - all money goes to keep the responders on the road. We had lots of visitors, gave out 200 glasses of mulled wine, lots of mince pies, brownies and raised another £511 to add to our total... Thanks to the generosity of Henfield people.
Congratulations to window dressing competition winners:
