Our grand total raised from the sale of the BN5 2015 HART Calendar is £4,463.29 Phew! We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone in the village who bought the calendar and supported the Henfield Area Response Team, our local lifesavers, in the process.
We’d also like to say a big thank you to the generous shops and businesses who stocked the calendar for us. That’s why we love Henfield High Street. We have a brilliant community and it’s great to be reminded just how supportive local businesses are. So we’d like to thank (with apologies for sounding like a Baftas acceptance speech): Stokes, Village Care, Rushfields, Swains, Coles, Taste Deli, Design Copy Print, The White Hart, Hamfelds, The Plough, The Post Office, and Natasha’s. Local clubs and charities The Lions Club, The Henfield Club, BP Guild, St Andrew’s Church, NADFAS, The Flower Club and WI also sold on our behalf. Bravo, thank you all!
Well done to the BN5 girls for their unwavering enthusiasm. Thank you to our designer Emily for all her hard work making the calendar look beautiful, to Zoë for all her help selling it and arranging our advertiser sponsorship, Sue and Sarah for their brilliantly sharp proof-reading and date checking. To Juthy for organising all the fundraising figures and to Judith who took care of all the calendar promotion, shop sales and distribution. All of us ‘took to the streets’ and even the pubs (!) to sell – it was great fun but it did get a bit chilly a couple of times! Evonprint in Small Dole, the trusty BN5 printers, came up trumps again and created a really lovely calendar for us to sell.
Finally, thank you to HART. Not only are they brilliant responders who have saved countless lives in the village, but they actually came out on the streets to help sell the calendar for us. We’ve raised enough cash for two defibrillators – our aim was £4,000 and we smashed that total, thanks to YOUR generosity.
“The Henfield Area Response Team (HART) want to send enormous thanks for the wonderful team at BN5, who with the support of local businesses, clubs and organisations spent so much of their valuable time with the conception, development and production of the marvellous Henfield 2015 Calendars.
The money raised by BN5 will allow us to continue to provide responders, deliver resuscitation training and Public Access Defibrillators to all of the Henfield catchment area, for this, our 11th year.”
