Congratulations to local Poppy Appeal collectors Betty Ogden, Polly Bearman, Carol Elliot, Ray Harris and Christine Harris for receiving awards for their hard work and dedication to the annual Poppy Appeal. Their bars, badges and brooches were presented by Chairman of Henfield Parish Council at the Annual Parish Meeting on Tuesday 3 March.
The Royal British Legion raise thousands each year through the hard work of collectors and the generosity of local people in filling those collection boxes. Poppy Appeal Coordinator for the Royal British Legion Mike Morgan said; "I could not do my job as Appeal Coordinator without the continued dedication of all our collectors. We are indebted to them all." Ray Osgood, who presented the awards, said; "As an ex-Serviceman myself, on behalf of all ex-Servicemen I thank you all for your hard work on behalf of such a magnificent cause."

Ray Harris received a 35 year Bar
Christine Harris received a 35 year Bar
Polly Bearman received a 30 year Long Service Brooch
Carol Elliott received a 30 year Long Service Brooch
Betty Ogden received a 20 year Badge.
