Henfield Club chairman Digby Stephenson stated that Remembrance Day in Henfield has, over recent years, become an event that has drawn together villagers and visitors from our surrounding area. Working closely with the Parish Council and three local Churches, the Club is proud of its contribution, and honoured to be the custodian of our War Memorials. Founded in 1919 as The Comrades of the Great War Club we are pleased to carry forward this tradition, and count the Royal British Legion as an integral part of our membership.
Villagers are encouraged to come into the Henfield Club to view the newly created “Memorial Alcove”. This includes one of the 800,000 + poppy field that was so movingly created last year at the Tower of London.
