Crowds filled Henfield High Street to watch the parade as it returned from St Peter's Church today. The procession, led by Brighton and Hove City Brass Band, included servicemen and ex-servicemen, Scouting and Guiding organisations, the Clergy from Henfield's churches, representatives of the Emergency Services and HART responders, representatives of the Parish, County and District councils and many other local groups.
The Royal British Legion Standard led the parade to the War Memorial at Cagefoot Lane where the names of the fallen were read. A two-minute silence preceded a short service with hymns and the laying of wreaths. Once again, Henfield stood proudly to remember our fallen.
