Results have just arrived for the Neighbourhood Plan Referendum, which took place yesterday, Tuesday 12th April.
With a 36.9% turnout, the village voted ‘yes’ to implement the plan, with a resounding majority.
Total vote – 1,537 (36.39% turnout)
Voted Yes – 1,449 (94.3%)
Voted No – 84 (5.5%)
Void – 4 (0.2%)
Grateful thanks to the team from Henfield Parish Council and Henfield Community Partnership who have worked so hard to create the plan and bring it through the complex consultation and referendum process. It is hoped that this plan will help protect the village from speculative development.
