A sunny Sunday greeted the Piazza Italia supercar drivers as they arrived in Henfield to a very warm welcome. The High Street was lined with visitors and the Cooper's Way car park was packed as hundreds of local people came out to enjoy the sunshine and support Piazza Italia on Tour as it visited Henfield for the second time.
The tour gives a preview of some of the beautiful cars which will be attending the Horsham Town Piazza Italia event which takes place over Easter weekend. 30 supercars, from Ferraris to Telsas, Maseratis to Lamborghinis, took a tour of the High Street before parking up as the last stop on the Piazza Italia market town tour.
Street band Mariano's entertained the crowds with their Brazilian acoustic sets while street-food stalls Rushfields, The Pizza Van, Just Brownies, Calcot Produce, Ginger Rookes, Oui Creperie and Gelato Geminelli kept everyone well fed with their delicious food. Many High Street shops, cafes and pubs opened and their window displays were a stunning array of red, white and green, celebrating all things Italian.
Henfield Community Partnership chair Carol Eastwood said; "Organisers and volunteers all worked really hard to ensure the day was a success and the village was promoted in a positive way. The feedback has been fantastic and we are delighted so many people came out to enjoy the spectacle."
A huge thank you to the Henfield Community Partnership, Henfield Parish Council, Carol Eastwood, Elaine Goodyear and their group of local volunteers, the BN5 team as well as Lynda Spain from Horsham District Council who worked so hard to make the event run smoothly and help put Henfield on the map.
