Paul and Pauline McBride from Sussex Prairies were thrilled to see their beautiful barn reach
the final four on the national House of the Year awards, televised on Channel 4’s Grand Designs. Local people watched with interest as the barn was featured on two shows. The Barn was narrowly pipped to the post for the main award by The Red House in Dorset.
The barn was designed by Sandy Rendel Architects and part of the ironwork crafted by Cranbrook Iron.
The Prairie Gardens are closed now for the winter, but will reopen 1st June, so please put a date
in your diary to visit and see the award-winning barn and viewing tower as well as the beautiful gardens.
Congratulations to everyone involved, it was wonderful to see Henfield’s very own prairie gardens featuring on Grand Designs.
